A blizzard in April.

We first met Kayla and Ian at a wedding in 2017. Ian was a groomsman in one of the original IL

wedding parties (One of the most fun that we have ever worked with)! Needless to say, we were excited when they reached out to us to capture their own wedding. When their wedding day arrived, we couldn’t wait to work with them for lots of reasons. Having gotten to know them at a previous wedding and working with them individually at their engagement session, we knew how fun they were to be around! And, knowing much of their wedding party was filled with groomsmen that we already knew and loved, there was no chance for this wedding to be anything but electric. Kayla had picked out a beautiful spring color scheme combined with beautiful greenery and a one-of-a-kind emerald green suit for Ian. It was catered by Madison's own Melted food truck and the venue has an amazing outdoor space with fire pits, perfect for a beautiful spring wedding. This late April wedding had all of the makings of a memorable day!

6 inches of snow…..6!!! On April 27th. Memorable is right! Lots of couples would have crumbled under the stress of adjusting wedding plans to accommodate a spring blizzard. Kayla and Ian took it in stride and not only made the most of it, but they also embraced it! The wedding party rallied around their friends, scrounged for umbrellas to protect the ladies' hair from the falling snow, and even broke out into a snowball fight midway through the wedding party photos! How can you not have fun with a group that makes their best friends' wedding day their best day no matter the weather?!? Selfishly, the snow made for some of the most eye-popping photos we have ever taken!

Kayla and Ian were amazing, the backdrop was gorgeous, the food truck food was unique and delicious, and the dance party went on all night. This is a wedding we will continue to talk about for years!
